Offline photogrammetry performance
Standard drone mapping heavily relies on cloud processing. Operators must upload gigabytes of raw images over unstable field networks and wait hours for server-side processing.
To solve this, we are building a completely offline pipeline. This week, we successfully integrated the industry-standard OpenDroneMap (ODM) engine directly into the Altacoro workflow.
THE WORKFLOW
• Data Ingestion. Raw images are transferred from the drone to the local system. Zero internet connection is required.
• Seamless Processing. The operator launches the ODM processing directly through our one-click UI.
• Time to Result. A heavy agricultural dataset (3.5 GB, 6.54 ha / 21.25 acres) was fully processed in 30 minutes.

THE OUTCOME
We are bridging the gap between heavy open-source computing and field operators. By packaging ODM into a seamless offline workflow, professionals can verify their data and generate orthomosaics directly on the spot, avoiding costly return trips to the field.
